Low-light. iPhone 8 vs iPhone 6s The iPhone 8 show less noise but lacks sharpness too. But other than this size difference, you can expect similar performance from these displays: they both use LCD technology, although (surprisingly) the iPhone 8 Plus has a slightly higher pixel density (401ppi vs 326ppi). Either way, we’d still prefer the larger size of the iPhone XR display over the extra pixels of the iPhone 8 Plus.I got an 8 Plus a couple of months ago instead of going for the X. This was simply because I wasn’t that into Face ID and figured I might as well… 3.9M subscribers in the iphone community. That's basically it. I'd say iPhone 8 is less "balanced" product than iPhone 7 (or 6s), because it packs "too much" power for 4.7". Just my 2 cents. A11 is very fast, A10->A11 transition brought much more raw performance than A11->A12. I mean A10 in iPhone 7 is perfectly fine chip, still loads of power. Better not to invest too much in iPhone 8

I can return it, and buy a pixel 8 pro, it is cheaper. I care mostly about video and picture quality and that the battery wont die out as fast. So far I love my S23 plus, the battery is amazing. I am traveling a lot, so the camera and battery is very good for me. I have read that the pixel 7 and 7 pro got battery and heating issues.

If iOS is your desire, get the iPhone. If foldable or a pen compatible with a phone is what your needs are, get a Samsung. Ask the same question in an iPhone group, majority would lean towards an iPhone, ask here and majority lean towards Samsung. It all comes down to preferences.
I went to a store and saw an iPhone 11 black model and compared it with my silver iPhone 8 plus. I did notice a very slight difference. The letter "r" on the keyboard did look very slightly less sharp, having more anti-aliasing on the iphone 8 plus, but is overall barely noticeable.
I bought a 12 Mini roughly 6 weeks ago direct from Apple after breaking the home button on my 8 Plus. The first two weeks were an absolute honeymoon period and I loved how easily I could hold the phone with one hand and type and scroll one handed. Holding the 8 Plus felt gargantuan and foreign.
